Sneakers With Everything

Hi, beauties and gentlemen!

My fashion dreams are finally coming true! Well, at least one of them.

Wearing sneakers with everything is now a thing!

Come to think of it, I’m wondering what took so long. I’ve been sharing my love for “wearing sneakers with everything” for a while now, especially after having back surgery, so it’s nice to see this come into effect in the fashion world.

Don’t get me wrong – I still love a sexy high heel, but nothing beats the comfort of sneakers.

I figured if Serena Williams could wear sneakers to an event sanctioned by Muva Anna Wintour (at the infamous Met Gala), then sneakers with dressy attire should be universally accepted and welcomed.

Needless to say, “sneakers with everything” became a trend that plans to stick around for a while.

I’m pretty sure this trend will hang around for the fall and, if we’re lucky, it will become a new classic. Could we be so lucky?! You know, the girls who love high heels, but our feet don’t exactly feel the same way?

This trend transcends athleisure, too. In fact, I wear my sneakers with dresses and skirts. With pretty much anything I wear, there’s a sneaker to match.

Perhaps I was most inspired to dive into this trend when I saw Tracee Ellis Ross rock a full-length sequin dress and Jordan’s. She can do no wrong!

Some of my favorite sneakers of the moment are Nike X Undercover, Golden Goose, Jordan Retro 1, Chanel, and Stella McCartney trainers.

Recently, I took a shopping trip with sister. My sister is the principal of an elementary school, and her wardrobe mostly consists of professional clothing. During our shopping trip, I spent some time convincing her that it’s perfectly on-trend to wear sneakers to work. So, I helped her find sneakers for all her looks. We had a great time, and she is now comfortable (and excited) about pairing her professional attire with cute sneakers!

Have you hopped on the sneaker trend? What may seem like a trend is going to be an on-going standard, I feel it!

Readers, don’t be shy. Contact me and share your thoughts. Until next time!

Stylishly,

Dionne
