The 5 Types of Shoes Every Fashionista Should Own

Hi, beauties and gentlemen!

The world of women’s shoes is vast, and I would be lying if I said there’s one particular style of shoe to complete every wardrobe and solve any outfit dilemma. However, I have five fabulous suggestions as to the types of shoes every fashionista should keep in her closet!

The following five types of shoes will round out any outfit choice, from casual to dressy, and will definitely save you coins, too, because these will remain staples in your closet. Without further ado, here are my five picks for must-have shoes:

  1. Tried-and-true black pumps: This choice may seem a bit cliché, but I believe a pair of black pumps will be a forever classic. In fact, every fashionista should own a pair of power pumps - a pair that is at least four inches (no kitten heels, please) with a nice, pointed toe. This pair of pumps can be easily dressed up or worn with a nice pair of denim for instant sex appeal. I’m a long-time fan of the Christian Louboutin “Pigalle Follie” pump because I like the way they fit, and they are comfortable for all-day wear. If you are not a fan of the Pigalle Follie, try the Jimmy Choo “Romy” pump. Also, every season, Zara usually carries a fab selection of black pumps.

  2. A cute strappy sandal: Whether you’re wearing jeans and a t-shirt, a maxi dress, shorts and a blouse, or a midi dress, strappy sandals instantly give your look attitude and sex appeal. It’s all in the detail of the straps. Make sure to buy a pair that are not only chic but comfortable.

  3. A dope sneaker: This suggestion may perhaps be my favorite staple and most likely what I would wear on a day-to-day basis. I pretty much wear my sneakers with anything, depending on my mood. I’ve learned that a great pair of sneakers can take you just as far as a great pair of pumps. Go for comfort, and don’t be afraid to try something bold in terms of color and style.

  4. Ankle boots: I love a great ankle bootie because they are timeless. Although the summer is about to begin, mentioning ankle boots takes me back to the fall and gives me all the feels. However, ankle boots are great for the spring and winter months, too. Definitely versatile. Plus, ankle boots are a fantastic, edgy alternative to a pair of pumps.

  5. A metallic pump/heeled sandal: The key word is “metallic,” so I’m encouraging you to be free to choose whichever heeled style you fancy. Metallic hues add pops of glamour to any look. Besides sneakers, metallic heels are a long-time favorite. Anything that sparkles or shimmers has my name written all over it!

Readers, don’t be shy. Contact me and share your thoughts. Until next time!

Stylishly,

Dionne
